NARM SUPERVISION DAY *ENGLISH*fortbildung tobias konermann

.

COMPROMISED SUBJECTIVITY

NARCISSISM & OBJECTIFICATION

Objectification accompanies any process of disconnection. Where we objectify ourselves and others, we lack access to our subjective depth – our deeper sense of self. Therefore, any survival strategy is also a consequence of some degree of compromised depth of subjectivity.

In some clients, however, the subjective sense of self is so compromised that it can be very challenging for us as therapists to be with them. When we are dealing with narcissistic organization on the personality spectrum we are faced with high levels of defensiveness, strong countertransference and limited capacity for ownership of one’s feelings and actions. Most importantly, moments of natural resonance and intersubjective connection are rare or absent.

During this day we will explore ways in which we as therapists can stay connected and work effectively in the face of compromised self-organization and learn to detect microscopic shifts in the search for agency. This in turn requires us to remain present and connected to our own deeper sense of self and to be able to access compassion for the deep suffering that underlies these defensive strategies.

Registration is open for NARM-Therapists and Therapists currently enrolled in a NARM-Training.

PRINCIPLES OF PROCESS WORK

RELATIONAL PROCESS FACILITATION

Which organizing principles underlie processes of change and transformation? Why is the relational space key to sustaining and unfolding complexity? What is the healing potential of intersubjectivity? In five training modules we dedicate ourselves to the art of individual process facilitation in a 1:1 setting. In order not to get lost in symptoms as therapists and coaches, we need subtle perceptual skills and a deep grounding in the essential dimensions of ourselves. The training focuses on the development of inner capacities and an understanding of the central principles, so that relational process work can be precise and sustainable.

This training can be for you if you …

  • would like to deepen your experience in facilitating individual processes.
  • are looking for an understanding of effectiveness that goes beyond methods.
  • are interested in deeper principles of healing and transformation.
  • want to combine intuitive orientation with professionalism.
  • want to dedicate yourself to developing your inner capacities in process work.

Prerequisites for participation

The training is offered for therapists and coaches who have already gained experience in process facilitation and want to go a few steps deeper. Professional experience and basic training in a therapeutic or counseling method are prerequisites for participation.

*THE TRAINING WILL BE HELD IN GERMAN* (ENGLISH TRAINING FOR 2025 IN PLANNING)

Theoretical background and content of the training

The training offers a combination of psychotherapeutic approaches in working with developmental trauma (NARM) and the understanding of healing and integration in the approach of Thomas Hübl (Academy of Inner Science). In addition, basic humanistic concepts, phenomenological approaches, various developmental psychological models, systems theory and perspectives from Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPBN) are incorporated in the teachings.

PRINCIPLE BASED COACHING COMPETENCE

TRAUMA-INFORMED • PROCESS-ORIENTED • INTEGRAL

If you have already worked in the coaching and therapy world for some years, you know that effectiveness is not dependent on methods and techniques. To support deep personal growth of our clients, who we are becomes more important than what we do. If we want to enable transformative change, we need to develop subtle perception and resonance-capacities, as well as an understanding of the organizing principles that underly every process.

NARM DEEPENING DAY – ZURICH *GERMAN*fortbildung tobias konermann

THE PERSONALITY SPECTRUM

EXPLORING THE ADAPTATIONS OF THE 4 PILLARS

During this supervision day, we will discuss the adaptations to the 4 pillars of NARM when working with clients on the personality spectrum. Clients who suffer from a more severely compromised capacity of self-organization can be challenging for many therapists. Narcissistic and Borderline Dynamics are reflected with case supervisions and experiential exercises.

The registration for this course is open to Medical Doctors and Clinical Psychotherapists who have completed the NARM Basic Training (Level 2)

THERAPEUTIC NEUTRALITY & THE HEART

COUNTERTRANSFERENCE AND CLOSENESS

Many therapeutic schools advise “professional distance”, which then often manifests itself as emotional distance in the sessions. However, open-heartedness and closeness in the therapeutic relationship are a natural consequence when we work with deeper levels of organization. In order to remain effective, human and professional, it is helpful to have a precise understanding of neutrality and the principles of countertransference that accompany a lack of neutrality.

During this supervision day we will explore moments of emotional entanglement with clients, as well as the effectiveness of deep caring and open-heartedness in the therapeutic work.
